The Measure of a Norseman is a quest in East Anglia in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
Your task is to help Oswald gain the approval of the brothers.
Here’s a walkthrough of The Measure of a Norseman in AC Valhalla.

To begin the quest, talk to Oswald in Elmenham.
You will see Valdis in the area instead, she’ll tell you that Oswald is in the docks.
Head to the docks to meet Oswald.
Eivor will challenge him to a duel.
Speak to Finnr
Get to the location shown in the map below, marked by the quest symbol. This is the venue of the holmgang (duel).
You will reach a small piece of land. Talk to Finnr to proceed.
Defeat Oswald
Here, you’ll need to defeat Oswald using your fists while Oswald uses a sword and shield.
There are 3 rounds to this fight but it’s quite easy.
Pillage Serpent’s Landing
To gain Valdis’ brothers’ approval, get to Serpent’s Landing to take over the area from Rued’s men.
As you reach the area, press the “raid” button to begin.
Inside the base, you have to use your torch to burn the carts and cargo. They are all around the place. You can use Odin’s sight to highlight the flammable parts.
Also, there’s a Magister’s Cloak (unique equipment) inside the camp.
Eliminate Rued’s men
After burning the carts and cargo, you have to eliminate every single one of Rued’s men.
Talk to Finnr
After the battle, talk to Finnr to complete the quest.
