The First Night of Samhain is the first quest under Glowecestrescire in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
Your task is to find Gunnar at Glowecestrescire and also meet the ealdorman.

Meet Gunnar
First of all, meet Gunnar at the western part of Glowecestre. The exact location is shown below, marked by the quest symbol.
You will see him at his house near the river.
Follow Gunnar
After meeting him, follow him to meet the ealdorman.
Follow Tewdwr
You will then be introduced to Tewdwr, the person who will succeed the ealdorman. He seems to hate pagans a lot.
Finally, you’ll reach the statue and Tewdwr will start praying. Talk to him again.
Kill the boars
Some boars will then show up. Kill them all.
Speak to Gunnar
Head back to Gunnar. His location is shown in the map below, marked by the quest symbol.
He is in the house with his lady. Talk to him again.
Trick or treat
Next, you’ll have to do some trick or treating. Knock on the doors of certain houses.
You’ll then need to respond in a flyting manner. The first door is “The air is chilling, and ghosts are spilling all cross the misty moor”.
For the next house, the answer is “I’ve been here knocking, and a-walking, now give me cake and ale”.
For the third house, he will give the cheese immediately.
Find Gunnar’s whereabouts
Gunnar will disappear. He will head to the docks. The exact location is shown below, marked by the quest symbol.
You will see him in a crowd.
Defeat the man
Together with Gunnar, you have to defeat a guy using your fists.
Speak to Tewdwr
Next, meet Tewdwr in the city. The location is provided below.
You will see him standing in front of a barrel of ale.
Here, you’ll need to compete in a drinking competition, but the results probably do not matter.
After the drinking challenge, there’s a romance option in the conversation.
Follow Tewdwr
Next, follow Tewdwr.
The next few parts are all cutscenes. The quest ends here.
