Phasmophobia is a game that allows you to play as ghost investigators and is best played with friends.
In each game, you can play with up to four players, and you can also join public games.
One of the items you can use to determine where the ghost is residing is the thermometer. It’s one of the handiest tools at the start of the game but it’s only unlocked after a certain level.
Here’s how you can use the thermometer and what constitutes freezing temperatures in Phasmophobia.
How to use the thermometer
The thermometer is unlocked after a certain level and from that level onwards you can buy it for each round.
To use the thermometer, just right click and you should see the temperature in celsius (by default).
You can of course change it to Fahrenheit, but celsius is more straightforward here.
To detect a ghost presence, you should look for an area where the temperature dips. Based on experience, if it dips below 12 degrees celsius, then the ghost is nearby.
It’s more or less confirmed if it goes below 10 degrees celsius.
What is freezing temperature
If you’re using the celsius system, freezing temperature is anywhere under 0 degrees celsius. For Fahrenheit, it should be below 32.
To check off freezing temps as the evidence, the temperature has to be below 0 degrees celsius, not 10.
A lot of people seem to be confused with that initially.
If you don’t have a thermometer, you will know it’s freezing if you can see your character’s breath on screen.
