I Walk The Line is a main job / mission in Act 2 of Cyberpunk 2077.
Your objective is to find out what the Animals are doing in the mall.
Here’s a walkthrough of I Walk The Line in Cyberpunk 2077.
Meet with Placide’s people
Get to the location marked on the map.
Talk to Placide’s people. They are already waiting for you.
Enter the mall
Next, you have to enter the mall. There will be Animal members in the area.
You can just crouch and pass them all.
To enter the mall, go to the GIM back entrance. Wait for the Animal members on the right to leave with their bikes.
Once they’ve left, you can enter easily.
Find the van in the lobby
Once you’re in, climb up to the upper floor. There’s a surveillance camera you may want to deactivate.
Then, you can either force open the door with level 10 Body or open the shutters with level 10 technical ability.
There might be another way in but I never tried.
Once you’re in the main atrium, take out the first enemy you see.
Use stealth.
Continue to crouch behind the other person and take her out as well.
Follow the path and you’ll see the blue van in the lobby. Continue following the path all the way. You don’t have to go down yet.
You will eventually reach an escalator that leads directly to the van.
Connect to the van
Connect to the van by jacking in.
I chose the option “don’t wanna mess with NetWatch” but the outcome is the same.
Find the agent in the cinema
Now, head to the cinema. Follow the marker on your screen.
You will see an elevator shaft will boxes inside. Climb up to the top using the boxes.
Continue following the marker. You will reach some enemies along the way, and they can be taken down quietly.
Defeat the Sasquatch
You will then reach an area with a person named Matilda K. Rose. She is the Sasquatch, i.e. someone strong in the Animal clan.
Before attacking her, you may want to short circuit her or do whatever to bring her health down.
She’ll then notice you. Just shoot at her until she’s dead.
Keep a distance to avoid getting pummeled. She relies on brute force.
Find the agent
Continue to the cinema to find the NetWatch agent.
Help NetWatch or help Voodoo Boys
Confront the agent. If you continue to ask him how he can help you, eventually, you’re given an option to betray Voodoo Boys and help NetWatch instead.
Just remember not to aim your gun at him or the conversation ends and he starts shooting at you.
If you choose to help NetWatch, the Voodoo Boys will get betrayed. Furthermore, you’ll have to defeat Placide.
If you choose to help Voodoo Boys, they will be friendly to you after the last mission, provided you don’t provoke them.
I personally chose to incapacitate him. Jack into his system.
Head to Batty’s Hotel
Leave the GIM and go to Batty’s Hotel. You can ask Placide’s guys to bring you there.
Talk to Placide
Meet with Placide again.
This time, Brigitte will appear herself and she’ll ask all of them to leave.
Talk to Brigitte
Then, talk to Brigitte. You’ll have to give her access to continue.
In the last dialogue, you can either choose “Then, after you” or “No. Rather check out my other options first”.
It’s better to just follow her or you may need to find her again later.
The mission ends here.
