Brewing Rebellion is the first quest under Oxenefordscire in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
Your task is to meet up with Sigurd at the alehouse in Buckingham and plan ahead.

Meet Sigurd
To begin the quest, head to Oxenefordshire. The exact location is marked on the map.
You can use the longship and set it on auto-pilot to get there.
You will reach a distrust area where they will hunt you if they see you.
Look for the alehouse which is located nearer to the river.
Enter the alehouse to meet Sigurd.
Reach the longhouse
From the alehouse, head towards the longhouse. Along the way, you should be able to stealth kill most of the guards.
If you get spotted, they will attack you.
Force open the door to enter the longhouse.
Secure the longhouse
After the cutscene, you have to defeat all of the enemies inside to secure the longhouse.
Rescue the thegns
Next, head to Leah Villa Garrison to find the thegns. It’s located southwest of Buckingham.
As you reach the area, you will see many guards.
If you go deeper into the area, a cutscene will be triggered showing the thegns about to be beheaded.
You may want to disable the alarm as well by shooting down the bell. This is to stop reinforcements coming in a lot.
Head to the thegns’ location quietly. You can see them from the rooftop.
Kill all of the enemies around the captured thegns to prevent them from attacking the thegns.
After getting rid of the enemies, untie the thegns.
There’s also another thegn in a cage nearby. Destroy the cage door to let him go.
How to get the book of knowledge and treasure (optional)
Before leaving the area, you may want to retrieve the book of knowledge and the treasure chest.
To open the door that leads to the book of knowledge, you need to collect a key. The key is located on the left-side building in the villa. This building will be surrounded by guards.
Use the key to unlock the side door of the room containing the book of knowledge.
Get the book of knowledge and you’ll learn the ability Feign Death.
To get the treasure on the other side of the room, you need to go through the barred door.
To open that door, go to the front of the villa first. You can shoot the door lock through the small window.
The door will then be unbarred. Enter the room and collect the chest.
Get to safety
Once you’re ready to leave, escort the thegns to safety. Head to the marked location on the map.
You have to wait for the thegns to follow you. A cutscene will be triggered when you reach the location and when all of them arrives.
Report to Geadric
Return to Geadric in Buckingham to report what happened.
Talk to him and the quest ends here.
