Needles is an Animus Anomaly in Hamtunscire of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
Your objective is to get to the top of the anomaly and get the data packet.
Here’s a guide on the Needles Animus Anomaly (Hamtunscire) in AC Valhalla.
To begin the challenge, get to the location shown below, marked by the map marker. It’s on an isle south of Hamtunscire.

How to solve the puzzle
After starting the anomaly, jump down on the block and slide to the next. You just need to wait for the right timing to proceed.
Continue climbing on the rocks.
You will then come across a new hazard feature. It’s like a hazard sea-level that goes up and down.
Throughout this puzzle, you need to time yourself perfectly.
Once you reach the area in the image below, you need to time when you should jump and slide down the block.
Once the hazard starts to go down, you can jump immediately and rush to the next high platform.
You will then come across your first projector.
This one is intermittent.
Wait for it to be transparent and then jump down the slide below.
Follow the blocks and you’ll reach the natural rocks. Climb up the rocks to the top.
Continue using the rocks to get to the next part of the anomaly.
You will then reach your first crystal splitter.
Rotate the splitter until the light beam hits the block shown in the image below.
Climb onto the said block and you’ll reach another projector.
Use the projector to aim at the other transparent block shown in the image below.
Now, go back down to the crystal splitter.
Rotate the splitter until you hit the block in the image below. It looks like an “L”.
You can now climb up the blocks and reach a third projector.
You will see that the third projector is currently aiming at a block.
Move the aim away and let the transparent block go down. You will then see another block coming up.
Aim at the other block which looks like an “L”. You can now climb to the top.
Here, you will encounter a circular hazard that goes up and down. It’s all timing here.
At the bottom part, you can utilize the blocks outside the circle to avoid the circle hazard.
Once you’ve gone higher up, you will notice that the circular hazard doesn’t hit the entire blocks you’re using.
You need to hang on the ledge to avoid the hazard.
Continue to make your way up by using proper timing.
Take the data packet and you’re done.
If this is your last Animus Anomaly, you’ll see a cutscene.
