The Reeve of Wincestre is the first quest under Wincestre in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
Your task is to find the man in white in the church and then help to rescue a reeve.

Find and speak to the man in white
To begin, get to Wincestre. The exact location is shown in the map below, marked by the quest symbol.
You’ll have to avoid the guards in the city as they will attack you if spotted.
Once you reach the location, you’ll find yourself in front of a church.
Shoot one of the windows and enter the church.
Go to the back of the altar and you’ll find the man. Use Odin’s sight to detect his location.
During the conversation, you can just use the first option “Take me as I am, a lowly pagan” if you have level 4 charisma / flyting.
Follow the priest
Then, follow the priest as he brings you to meet someone.
Enter the room.
During the conversation, you’ll meet the actual King Aelfred himself. He will ask for Eivor’s help to tackle the problem of the Order of the Ancients.
Reach Goodwin’s house
You’ll need to find a reeve named Goodwin. Head to his house. The location is shown below, marked by the quest symbol.
There’ll be a few guards in the compound. You can assassinate them first.
Enter the house and examine the clues. There are two clues in total.
Find and rescue Goodwin
You’ll discover that Goodwin has been taken by the soldiers. Head to the nearby Wincestre Garrison (fort), as shown in the map below.
From Goodwin’s house, you can see the fort. Enter the fort quietly as it’s heavily guarded.
While inside, you may want to disable their alarm first.
To find Goodwin, you need to get to the inner part of the fort, which is blocked by a locked door.
The key is held inside a building on the right-side. There will be guards in front. Assassinate them and enter the room to get the key.
Use the key to enter the inner compound of the fort.
Inside the inner compound, head towards the main building which is more heavily guarded.
Enter the main building and you will find Goodwin at the basement. Use Odin’s sight to see which cell he is kept in.
Destroy the bar on the door and you’ll find Goodwin inside.
Find and get the documents
Next, you have to find Goodwin’s documents in the same building.
Climb to the rooftop and you’ll see a way to get inside the building.
Head to the outside of the room where the documents are. The door will be barred.
Shoot at the bar of another door.
After shooting that bar, go from the outside of the building to access that door.
You will now reach the documents.
After taking the documents, take the book of knowledge in the same room.
You’ll get the Axe Blizzard ability.
Speak with Goodwin
Get out of the Garrison and return to Goodwin. His location is shown below, marked by the quest symbol.
Talk to him and the quest ends here.
