The Best There Is is a Crimson Fleet mission in Starfield.
Your objective is to steal the UC Prototype with the Comspike on it from Station SY-920.
Here’s a walkthrough and guide of The Best There Is in Starfield.
To begin the mission, talk to Naeva at The Key.
Meet Huan Daiyu
Next, go to New Atlantis and enter The Well.
Meet Huan Daiyu there.
Then, meet Huan on the Jade Swan which is her ship at Spaceport.
After boarding the ship, look for a ladder that leads to the upper floor.
Talk to Huan again before you leave for SY-920.
Gain access to the barracks to find a uniform
After boarding SY-920, you’ll need to find a uniform. Head to the barracks.
You will be stopped by the officer. It should be easy to persuade him.
Then, take and equip Ensign Akasaka’s Uniform.
Enter the Command Bay
After wearing the uniform, enter the Command Bay. There’s an optional objective to speak to Huan but the intercom didn’t work for me.
You just need to lockpick the door beside it.
Proceed to the Command Bay.
(Optional) Speak to Huan
On the next floor, you can use the intercom to speak to Huan. She’ll give you two suggestions on how to approach the issue.
(Optional) Obtain a clearance code
I went with the clearance code method. You can access the computer in the room to get the code.
As your uniform is Akasaka’s, choose Last Name A-H.
The code is AK127C.
Find information on the Comspike
In the next area, continue to follow the path on your scanner.
You’ll need to find information on the Comspike.
Use the marked computer to do so.
Go to Engineering Bay 4
Then, head on over to Engineering Bay 4.
(Optional) Use the intercom
You can talk to Huan again on the intercom but she’ll ask you to find your own ship back.
Locate the Comspike
Proceed ahead and locate the Comspike.
Talk to Dr. Gabriel Vogel to get information.
You can either betray Huan or persuade Vogel to let you know more. Maybe betray her would be better as she’ll be one of the enemy ships if you help UC Vigilance in the end.
I chose to persuade and used the following dialogue:
- [+4] The reasons are classified, but I’ve been asked to personally fly this ship.
- [+3] The Commander said my documents were in order.
(Optional) Find a pilot uniform or find a route to bypass the checkpoint
There’s a SY-920 Pilot Spacesuit nearby that you can equip.
For the route, you should be able to find a vent that leads to the prototype ship.
Escape SY-920 in the prototype ship
Board the prototype ship to escape the station.
Go back to The Key
As soon as you leave, you can immediately grav jump to The Key while the UC ships are firing at you.
Talk to Huan Daiyu
Speak to Huan Daiyu at the bar area on The Key.
Talk to Delgado
Then, meet Delgado to report.
Return to UC Vigilance
After you’re done, go back to UC Vigilance to report to Ikande.
The mission ends here. You’ll earn 14400 credits.
