A Soldier’s March is a side quest in Bulwark in Horizon Forbidden West.
Your objective is to help find Penttoh who went to complete the trial called March of the Ten.
Here’s a walkthrough of A Soldier’s March in Horizon Forbidden West.
Recommended level is 18 and above.
To begin the quest, talk to Jekkah inside Bulwark. The location is shown in the map below.
Talk to her to begin.
Go to the start of the climb
Next, head to the marker shown in the map below. It’s the base of the mountain where the climb begins.
When you reach, use focus to see a way to climb up.
Talk to Wekatta
After climbing up, you should see a bunch of Tenakths waiting near the fire. Talk to Wekatta.
Find the Tenakth climbers
Next, look for the Tenakth climbers. You can follow the markers on the mountain.
You’ll then need to climb up the wall.
Kill the machine
You’ll see a Tenakth fighting a machine.
Help him to take out the machine.
Talk to the climber after the battle is won.
Climb the mountain
To look for Penttoh, you have to climb the mountain further up.
Then, scan for his tracks. Follow the tracks.
You’ll reach a dead end. Use your focus and you’ll see that he climbed up. Follow the trail up first. The track ends near the top.
From the top, press O to jump backwards and then immediately glide to the other side.
Kill the machines
Climb up until you see Penttoh fighting machines.
Help him to kill the machines.
Talk to him after the battle is won.
Continue climbing
Aloy will then volunteer to be Penttoh’s partner for this ritual.
Climb up the mountain even higher.
You’ll then reach a dead end and you’ll need to get to the other side.
If you use your focus, you’ll see grapple points. Jump and grapple to the other side.
Then, help to push over the tree towards Penttoh.
From the tree, jump towards the ledge. You’ll see the markers when you use focus.
Kill the Frostclaw
After climbing up, you’ll have to defeat Frostclaw. Scan the body to identify the weak points and take it out.
Follow Penttoh
After Frostclaw is down, continue following Penttoh up the mountain.
You’ll eventually reach the peak and Penttoh gets his flower to prove that he completed the challenge.
Return to Wekatta
From the top, you can glide all the way down to meet Wekatta again.
The quest completes here.
