The Spirit of Yarikawa’s Vengeance is one of the Mythic Tales in Ghost of Tsushima.
Your task is to investigate the rumor about the spirit of Yarikawa murdering people.
Here’s a walkthrough of The Spirit of Yarikawa’s Vengeance in Ghost of Tsushima.
Completing this tale will grant you the Dance of Wrath technique and a new sword kit.
To begin the tale, speak with the musician Yamato in Yarikawa.
Search for the white smoke
Within the marked circle on the map, look for the white smoke.
The first one is located at the main road. Read the scroll to continue.
Investigate the refugee camp
Just nearby the shrine, you should see a refugee camp.
Head towards the bonfire and speak with the man here.
Follow Heitaro
As Heitaro was targeted in the scroll, follow him to learn why he’s being hunted.
Search for the second white smoke
After you’re done with Heitaro, look for the white smoke again.
The location is shown in the map below, marked by the player location.
You will see the shrine near the bridge. Read the scroll again.
Find the Mongol camp
If you head left from the shrine along the river, you will see the Mongol camp in flames.
As you reach the area, they are all dead. Examine the bodies.
Also, rescue the prisoner and speak with him.
Search for the third white smoke
The third white smoke location is shown in the map below, once again marked by the player location.
You will see a house as you arrive, with a Mongol guard in front.
Take out the Mongol first.
Enter the house either via crawling under, or through the windows above.
Examine the home
Examine the items inside the home.
Search for the fourth white smoke
The fourth location for white smoke is shown in the map below, marked by the player location. It’s at the northern part of the circle.
Again, you’ll find a scroll to read.
Look for the Garden of the Gods
You’ll have to find the Garden of the Gods. Follow the guiding wind.
You’ll meet a peasant along the way who will give you hints on what the garden looks like.
Continue looking for the garden and you’ll meet more peasants. They will call your name.
Speak with them and they’ll tell you that the spirit passed through.
Follow the fireflies.
The garden is filled with fireflies and there are two statues in front of it.
Enter the garden and read the scroll.
Defeat the Spirit of Yarikawa
This ‘spirit’ uses a sword, so you can use the stone stance against her.
Once you’re almost done with the fight, you will learn the Dance of Wrath and use it against her.
Completing this quest will also give you the Omukade’s Revenge sword kit.
