Play It Safe is a main mission / job in Act 2 of Cyberpunk 2077.
Your objective is to meet up with Takemura and eliminate the snipers.
Here’s a walkthrough of Play It Safe in Cyberpunk 2077.
Talk to Takemura
Get to Japantown to meet Takemura.
You will find him at the footbridge like before. Talk to him to go over the plan.
Tell him you’re ready to proceed.
You will then be transported to night time when the festival is on.
Reach the first sniper
Follow the marker on the map to reach the first sniper. Go through the door past the crowd.
You will eventually see the sniper at the platform.
Climb up through the right side and take him down quietly.
Reach the second sniper
Next, use the elevator to reach the second sniper.
In the elevator, choose the 21st floor balcony.
From the elevator, go to the marked area. You will see a ladder. Use it to go up.
At the top, the metal flooring might fall. Jump over to the other side.
You should then see an exit hatch. Open it to go down.
Here, you need to descend all the way. I’m not sure what the catwalk segment is for.
You just have to keep finding a way to go down.
You will then reach the door to the second sniper. There’s a guard outside.
Let him walk away first.
Enter the room and you’ll see a laser. You can make it ‘friendly’ by hacking.
In the next room, you’ll see the sniper looking outside. Take him down from behind.
Reach the third sniper
Go out through the other door to find the third sniper. Get the laser into friendly mode again.
Go up the stairs. Watch out for the guard waiting at the staircase. He might turn around so you can take him down quietly.
Continue heading towards the third sniper through the hallway.
You will reach an outdoor area. There may be a drone in the area.
If you’re spotted, just take it down.
You can cross over using the pipe bridge. Watch out when it heats up.
From the pipes, climb up to the upper platform.
There are two guards here. Distract the guard further away using the flood lights.
You can then take both of them down quietly.
Use the elevator and go up to Construction floor.
Another Arasaka guard is here. Take him down first and then climb up to the staircase.
At the top, you’ll see the sniper inside. Take him out.
Reach the netrunner
Takemura will then inform you about a netrunner. Use the elevator to get to her.
Enter the abandoned building.
Disconnect the netrunner
Go behind the netrunner to disconnect her from the net. Once you do so, be prepared for a boss fight.
Oda will fly in through the window and attack you.
Here, you have to defeat Oda. He mostly uses two blades in the fight.
Just keep dodging backwards while firing at him.
Oda can also go transparent but he is still visible. He also jumps up and uses the upper platforms.
When he keeps a distance from you, expect him to shoot smart projectiles at you.
Apart from that, he can heal during the fight when you’re not attacking him.
One good way of lowering his health quickly is to quickhack. You can try sonic shock, overheat and so on.
After he is down, remember to loot his body for some good equipment, including a 662 DPS katana (Jinchu Maru).
Connect to the access point
Jack in the access point.
Deactivate security turret
You will then see a feed of Hanako. Help Takemura deactivate the security turret first.
He’ll then appear and ends up kidnapping Hanako.
Escape the parade grounds
Run away from the area as the drones will come for you.
The mission ends here.
