Unearthed is a Constellation main story mission in Starfield.
Your objective is to investigate NASA to learn what had happened to Earth.
Here’s a walkthrough and guide of Unearthed in Starfield.
To begin the mission, go to the Nova Galactic Research Station on Luna.
Investigate the Research Station
Enter the station through the airlocked door.
Use the computer to investigate for clues.
Play the recording on the roof
Go outside of the station and play the recording on the rooftop.
Go to the NASA Launch Tower
Next, head to planet Earth and land at the NASA Launch Tower.
Find a way inside
After landing, you’ll see that the elevator is up there. Use the stairs to find your way up the tower.
When you arrive, you’ll realize that the switch is not powered.
Follow the cables and you’ll see a door. Unlock the door with the NASA access code.
You’ll see a Power Receptacle that requires a power cell.
Pick up the power cells on the floor. You’ll need more later so take all of them. Use the elevator to enter NASA.
Find information about NASA
Once you’re inside, use the computer to find more information about NASA.
Find information about the Martian sample
Proceed deeper inside to find information about the Martian sample.
In the area, you should find a mannequin. This mannequin has the full Mercury suit.
Continue ahead to the marked area and you’ll see Judith – Personal Recording.
Find information about the prototype Grav Drive
To proceed ahead, you need to supply power to the switch.
Look for the power switch nearby in a room. Activate it.
Take the emergency power cell in the same area.
Place the power cell in the Power Receptacle. Go back to the first switch to open the door.
In the next area, you’ll meet a Robot Model and many turrets that are hostile.
After the area is secure, you need to open the shutters.
Follow the cables. It will lead you to a locked room that requires basic lockpicking. Inside, activate the power switch.
Open the shutters and continue ahead.
You’ll reach an area with information about the prototype Grav Drive.
Find information about Grav Drive side effects
Go to the final room to find information about Grav Drive side effects.
There’s also a NASA maintenance key to open some doors in case you want to loot stuff.
The recording from the final computer will tell you that Earth was actually destroyed because of the usage of Grav Drive.
Release the artifact
Then, release the artifact.
Go to the artifact to take it.
Exit NASA
You’ll then need to exit NASA but there will Starborns along the way as they try to kill you.
Go all the way to the door but the switch is not powered.
Follow the cables to the Power Receptacle and place a power cell in it. Go back to the door and open it.
Go all the way until you reach the elevator to go back to the NASA Launch Tower.
Talk to The Emissary
Leave the tower and you’ll find The Hunter and The Emissary waiting for you.
Side The Hunter or The Emissary or nobody
You now have an important decision to make. You can either side with The Emissary, The Hunter or none of them.
If you choose The Emissary, you’ll eventually need to face The Hunter in a later mission. You’ll be able to obtain a weapon dropped by The Hunter.
If you choose The Hunter, the opposite happens and the weapon is different.
Choosing neither of them would mean you’ll have a much tougher time to battle both of them. It’s lengthier but you’ll be able to acquire both weapons.
I chose to side with The Emissary for this playthrough.
The mission ends here. You’ll earn 13800 credits.
