The Akila Run is a side mission available in Hopetown in Starfield.
Your objective is to help Mr. Sood smuggle contraband to Akila City.
Here’s a walkthrough and guide of The Akila Run in Starfield.
To begin the mission, talk to Mr. Sood who is standing outside the HopeTech building on Hopetown. You can spot him near two kids.
How to smuggle contraband
Before going to Akila City, you need to ensure that your ship is ready to smuggle contraband.
You may need to install a shielded cargo and a scan jammer on your ship to reduce your chances of getting caught. You can buy both of them at the Red Mile on Porrima III.
Talk to Lon Anderssen who is the shipbuilding services guy in the Red Mile.
You will then need to go to the ship upgrade and install a shielded cargo on your ship.
Apart from a shielded cargo, you should also install a scan jammer on your ship.
Once you’ve done so, go back to your ship.
Go to your ship cargo and transfer Mr. Sood’s Package to the ship cargo.
Go to Akila City
Save before going as you have a small chance of getting caught. If you do get caught, just reload the save.
During the scan, they’ll display the chance of getting caught for contraband.
I installed the scan jammer and two shielded cargos on the ship, and only carry one contraband. The amount of contraband you carry will affect your chances.
The percentage of evading was 89% based on what I did.
Deliver the contraband to Tom Starrett
Go to the Trade Authority and deliver the contraband to Tom who is outside the Trade Authority.
The mission ends here and you’ll earn 8700 credits.
