NieR Replicant: Search For The Shade Quest Walkthrough

Search for the Shade is a side quest in the village in NieR Replicant version 1.22.

Your objective is to find out where the Shade has been hiding in the village.

Look for the river

The first hint is the river. Head to the river outside the marketplace facing the western hill.

You’ll learn that the Shade isn’t here.

Return to the girl and she’ll ask you to check the square in front of the library.

Get to the square in front of the library and you’ll learn that the Shade isn’t here either.

Go around the market to ask the villagers about the Shade.

Then, head back to the girl to ask her where the Shade isn’t hiding.

Use the stairs at the entrance of the market to reach the hill on the west.

You’ll find the Shade hiding near a tree. Defeat the Shade here.

Return to the guard to earn 5,000 gold.
