The Point of the Lance is an interlude quest in Horizon Forbidden West.
The main objective is to examine the orb that contained HADES and later on head to the west.
Here’s a walkthrough of The Point Of The Lance in Horizon Forbidden West.
Examine the orb
After starting the quest, head to the orb and examine it to begin the cutscene.
Climb up to the base of the spire
To climb up the spire, you need to head to the nearby scaffolding. Climb onto the rope on the pole first and then jump onto the ledge of the scaffolding.
Keep climbing up until you reach the top.
Use your pullcaster to pull the platform towards you.
Climb onto the platform and use your focus on the base of the spire. Use your pullcaster to break open the shaft.
Then, you can jump onto it using grapple.
Continue climbing up. Head towards the left side as there’s a gap to enter.
From here, you’ll see a cutscene between Aloy and Sylens.
Return to Marad and Varl
Head back to the two of them to report the situation.
Optional: Talk to your friends
There’s an optional objective where you can talk to your friends including Avad.
When talking to Avad, you’re given emotional choices to make.
Modify your spear
Then, head to the workbench near Uthid. Modify your spear.
Once you’re ready to leave for the Forbidden West, talk to Marad and Varl.
The quest ends here.
