Farewell, The Archaic Lord is the second part of Chapter 1 in Genshin Impact involving Liyue.
After discovering that the Qixing is behind the Geo Archon’s incident, you continue to conduct the Rite of Parting.
Here’s a walkthrough of Farewell, the Archaic Lord in Genshin Impact.
This walkthrough is divided into many sub-quests.
An Organization Known as Wangsheng
The first sub-quest is An Organization Known As Wangsheng.
To begin, talk to the bank staff inside Northland Bank, Liyue.
Speak to the lady staff inside the bank.
Next, meet up with Childe nearby. The location is marked on the map.
You will see him waiting in front of the restaurant.
Childe will then bring you to meet Mr. Zhongli, a person who can help with the Rite of Parting.
Next, talk to Zhongli outside the restaurant.
Moonfinger
The next sub-quest is Moonfinger.
To conduct the Rite of Parting, you have to do many things. One of it is to buy the best grade Noctilucous Jade.
You can purchase it from the jade shop in Liyue Harbor.
Talk to the person running the shop.
To verify that the jade is of high quality, you need to test it.
To do so, you have to go to Dadaupa Gorge in Mondstadt. The location is provided in the map.
You will see a huge wok in the middle of the camp. Take out the hilichurls first.
Next, use a pyro character like Xiangling or Amber to use pyro on the wok to heat the water.
You need to heat up the wok until the heat bar is completely filled.
In between, you will encounter more hilichurls who will come and attack you.
Take them out and continue heating the wok. Repeat the process until the water in the wok is fully heated.
Once it’s done, you will see which Noctilucous Jade is the bluest. The answer is the third one.
Return to the jade seller.
Choose “the third Noctilucous jade“.
Next, you have to place the Noctilucous Jade at the rightful place for the Rite of Parting.
Three Poignant Perfumes
The next thing you need to get are three types of perfumes.
You have to buy Silk Flowers first. You can find them in Liyue Harbor.
Talk to Bolai. His shop is right below the dock area.
After getting the Silk Flowers, you have to meet Lan for help.
Lan is one of the members of the Adventurer’s Guild. You can find her at the usual spot beside Cathryne.
Lan will ask you to look for Qiming instead. Qiming is the fortune teller nearby.
She’ll tell you to look for Ying’er who is the shop assistant at Scent of Spring.
Ying’er will then ask you to suggest a place to make perfume. Choose Wanmin Restaurant which is owned by Xiangling.
Then, meet her inside the restaurant.
She’ll ask you to grab some water. Just go behind the restaurant to draw water.
Bring the water back to Ying’er. Next, you have to grind the Silk Flowers.
Go to the work bench near the pond to grind them out. There should be three flowers in total.
Return to Ying’er again to make the perfume.
Next, you have to offer the perfumes to the Statue of The Seven. This Statue is located north of Liyue Harbor (location below).
You will see Zhongli waiting there. Talk to him to proceed.
The Realm Within
The next sub-quest is The Realm Within.
Zhongli will ask you to meet Madame Ping to retrieve a certain Cleansing Bell.
Madame Ping is inside Liyue Harbor. The location is provided in the map.
Talk to her and then touch the teapot.
Once you touch it, you will be transported to another world.
You will be inside the teapot. Follow the bridge to the next area. Get rid of the spider webs in each area.
Take out the slimes first. They are level 40.
After the slimes are gone, start the console to create a bridge.
After using the bridge to the next area, you will encounter more enemies. Take them out.
Start the console to create a wind current.
Use the wind to fly up.
Glide to the next area and continue making your way through the stone bridge.
Defeat all of the slimes at the other side.
Continue making your way to the next area. More slimes await here. Defeat them all.
Use the console to activate the wind current.
Fly up the wind current and you’ll reach another space with another console.
Press start.
Continue following the path until you reach the Cleansing Bell. Retrieve the bell and wait for the portal to appear.
Leave the area using the portal.
After getting the bell, meet up with Zhongli at the Rite of Parting to place the perfume and the Cleansing Bell.
Downtown
The next sub-quest is Downtown.
Zhongli will ask you to get kites. Talk to the kite shop owner at Liyue Harbor.
Next, you need to find three guys to do some labor.
Their locations are all provided in the map.
Talk to them and you will be able to negotiate.
Make an offer lower than the person will suggest.
Whatever’s remaining from the 50,000 Mora given by Childe will be yours.
For all three of the guys, you can negotiate the salary. The mood of each person probably affects how much you can reduce the price.
Once you’re done, meet up with Childe again.
Guizhong
You will then need to get some Everlasting Incense from Bubu Pharmacy.
Go to the pharmacy in Liyue Harbor.
There, you’ll meet Qiqi who is the receptionist / cashier.
She’ll ask for your help to get a certain milk. The milk is apparently from an adeptus beast.
Meet up with Zhongli north of Mt. Tianheng to find a Ballista to shoot at the beast.
The Guizhong Ballista is located at the upper part of the area (image below).
Go to the ballista and check on it.
As it’s not functional, go into the window beside it to look for spare parts.
Take the materials here. You can also get four treasure chests inside this room.
After you’re done, you will need to defeat the Treasure Hoarders. There are three waves of Treasure Hoarders to fight.
However, you won’t be able to find the beast.
Return to Qiqi at Bubu Pharmacy to deliver the news. She actually meant coconut milk.
After buying the Everlasting Incense, go back to the Rite of Parting area to place it.
Zhongli’s Treat
The last sub-quest is Zhongli’s Treat.
You need to meet him at night, meaning after 6 pm. You can fast forward the time to 6 pm if it’s still day time.
Meet him at Third-Round Knockout in Liyue Harbor. Sit down beside him.
You will then get a cutscene about the story behind Ningguang.
After the story-telling, you will meet Ganyu who works for Ningguang.
She will deliver an invitation to you to meet her at Jade Palace.
