Trial by Taste is one of the challenges in Escape Academy that takes place in the Cafeteria.
Your objective is to cure yourself from the poison you consumed at the start.
Here’s a walkthrough and guide of Trial by Taste (Cafeteria) in Escape Academy.
The difficulty level is around 2 / 5.
How to open the three padlocks
In the beginning, you’ll see a plate with a cover and three padlocks blocking it.
Pick up the funky fork in a pile of items and open one of the padlocks first.
Next, you will see a microwave knowledge. Unidentified meat is 3:35.
Go to the microwave and key in 3:35. The meat will catch fire.
Pick up the fire extinguisher near the microwave knowledge poster.
Use it on the meat inside the microwave. Pick up the funky fork inside.
Use it on the second padlock.
You will find the third fork on one of the plates on the moving belt.
After opening the third lock, you will find a milkshake inside. Drink it and you’ll get poisoned.
Open the locked door
You will then need to open the restricted door.
The code is shown in the image below, based on the bread and buns on the kitchen table; which is basically BREAD, O, U, and BREAD.
Pick up the kitchen knife inside the freezer room.
Also, take the block of ice with a key inside.
Bring the ice cube with the key and place it into the boiling pan in the kitchen. Retrieve the key.
Use it to open the door to the dining area.
You will see a Today’s Specials frame. Move it away and you’ll see another puzzle. Leave it be for now.
Birthday cake
Look for the cake on the table and use the knife to slice it.
You will get the colors red, yellow, pink and blue.
Use the color code on the padlock beside, and you’ll get an encyclopedia of poisons.
This encyclopedia will be needed later.
Dirty plate
Next, go to the fireplace and use the fire extinguisher.
You will get a dirty plate.
Go back to the kitchen to wash the plate.
You will then notice another clue on the plate.
Look for the spinning top with some bottles on it.
You basically need to turn the spinning top according to the diagram shown on the plate. From position 1, turn clockwise to 2 then turn anti-clockwise back to 3, and eventually turn clockwise to 4.
You should get an antidote recipe.
Today’s Specials
To solve the pyramid-shaped puzzle with four buttons, you have to figure out where the food on Today’s Specials belong on the food pyramid.
The food pyramid is in the freezer room.
Cheese is at the top, apple is on the right, meat is at the top again and bread is on the bottom.
The answer is Up, Right, Up and Down.
Enter the small elevator shaft and switch it on.
As you descend, pick up the Staff Key.
How to make the antidote
Use the Staff Key to open the cabinet.
Based on the antidote recipe earlier, you need to pour 1 Belladona Syrup, 3 Calabar Extract, 1 Mineral Water and then shake it using the shaker.
Drink the cup to complete the challenge.
