Vapor Moss is an ingredient Popola needs during the story of NieR Replicant version 1.22.
However, if you choose to do this objective, you’ll probably reach a new part of the story and some quests may not be completed.

Vapor moss location
The location of vapor moss is shown in the map below, marked by the red X. It’s near the south gate of the village.
You’ll see the vapor moss clearly as the area seems to have been emptied.
However, taking the vapor moss might lead to the story being progressed and some quests may not be completed in this playthrough.
