The main story of the adventure-survival game Grounded is pretty short but it’s still in early access.
One of the main parts of the story requires you to investigate the explosion on the oak tree after activating the mysterious machine.
Here’s a walkthrough on investigating the explosion and also the laboratory in Grounded.
Head to the oak tree
After successfully using the mysterious machine, it will lead to an explosion on the oak tree.
Head towards the oak tree. It’s so huge you won’t miss it.
As you reach the area, you will see pinkish flames on the side. Go towards it.
The exact location is shown in the map below, marked by the red circle.
You will see a huge fallen leaf near the flames.
Go below the leaf and you’ll find the laboratory.
Search the laboratory
Enter the lab and continue heading downwards.
Pick up the item BTU 01.
Push the buttons
The next step is to get all of the buttons to green.
There’s probably a sequence but randomly mashing the buttons can also get you all green.
Destroy the robot
A robot will appear. Kill it with your weapon.
Help BURG.L
After defeating the robot, you can head to the newly unlocked area.
Inside, you will find a robot named BURG.L.
Help the robot up and you’ll be able to talk to it.
One of the things you will unlock is the quests. Completing the quests will give you some sort of currency.
