The Illusions Of The Mob is a story quest for Alhaitham in Genshin Impact after the 3.4 update.
Your objective is to investigate an issue with Ilyas and the hive mind project by Siraj.
Here’s a walkthrough & guide of The Illusions Of The Mob in Genshin Impact.
This walkthrough will be divided into the various sub-quests.
Fragmented Testimony
The first sub-quest is Fragmented Testimony.
Go to the teleport waypoint near the Akademiya to begin.
Then, look for a matra inside.
You will then need to proceed to the tavern near the other waypoint.
After the dialogue, talk to Alhaitham.
A Thorough Investigation
The next sub-quest A Thorough Investigation begins here.
Go back to the Akademiya.
Head to the House of Daena to get to the Research Preparation Center.
Talk to the guy at the library.
Then, look for Chandra at another tavern near the Adventurer’s Guild.
Discussion on Siraj and Ilyas continues here.
Now, head to Janaki. Her location is marked on the map.
Go back to the House of Daena to find information on Ilyas.
After the dialogue, use the elevator to go up to the Acting Grand Sage’s room.
Talk to Alhaitham there.
You’ll then need to wait for Alhaitham to find information on Ilyas. To pass time, you will be required to read the notes on the table.
After this, head on over to Gandharva Ville to find Ilyas’ family.
Pride and Prejudice
The third sub-quest is Pride and Prejudice.
Head to Siraj’s hideout as marked on the map.
It’s a domain. The recommended elements are Dendro and Electro.
Head into the heart of the research base as marked. You’ll see Ilyas’ memories from time to time.
You’ll reach a barrier. Obtain the key. Then, insert the key at the slot near the barrier.
For the second part, you’ll see two barriers. Place the key on the left side and enter. Get the key inside.
Now, place the key in the other slot and go back to draw the key from before.
You can proceed ahead as one of the barriers will still be down. Grab both keys.
Use both keys on the two slots to proceed ahead.
You’ll then face some fungi. Take them out.
You will reach an elevator. Use it and just ride it all the way up while listening to dialogues.
You will then reach a point where you see two keys. Take both of them.
At the barrier, use both keys.
Take the first key back and while you’re standing on the other side of the barrier, take the second key.
Then, use both keys to proceed ahead.
Now, head to the center and you’ll see Ilyas waiting for you.
After the cutscene, defeat all of the opponents.
At the end of the wave, you’ll have to defeat a mini boss Waswas.
The hive mind will then crumble as Siraj fails.
Talk to the hive mind members.
Return to the city and follow Alhaitham to his house.
You’ll then meet Kaveh there.
After the quest ends, you can watch a short conversation between Kaveh and Alhaitham in their room.
