The Ancient Azure Stars is a story quest available in the Golden Apple area of Genshin.
Your objective is to explore Mona’s mirage and solve astral puzzles.
Here’s a walkthrough and guide of The Ancient Azure Stars in Genshin Impact.
To begin the quest, rendezvous with everyone in the main campsite of Golden Apple.
This time, you will be entering Mona’s mirage.
Explore the mirage
First of all, investigate the glowing spots and you’ll get 2 shards.
Get to the highlighted device.
You have to place the two shards on the upper and lower slots according to the constellation provided on the door.
The door is directly in front of the device and you can look at the constellation provided to see which shard goes to which slot.
Astral puzzle 1 guide
Enter the door for the first astral puzzle.
You will see the pattern you need to form on the ceiling above you.
You can follow the alignment shown in the image below to solve the puzzle. A treasure chest will fall.
Open the chest and follow the strange star.
The star will enter the pool. Jump into the pool.
Next, follow the star to the destination.
Challenge of the Starry Sky
You will eventually fall down to the bottom.
Here, you have to participate in a challenge.
The maximum amount of hits you can take is probably 30. Dodge as many as you can until the timer is up.
Leave the area via the mirage door after completing the challenge.
Look for the shard
You will be transported back to the island. Head to the marked area on the map to find a shard.
You should see a Hilichurl digging in the area. Take out the Hilichurl and investigate the spot. You will get the shard.
Return to the mirage and use the shard.
Astral puzzle 2 guide
For the second astral puzzle, head to the door with the constellation shown in the image below.
Note: You can reuse shards that have been used in previous doors.
For this astral puzzle, you can see the pattern above the ceiling via a crack.
To solve astral puzzle 2, just follow the alignment shown in the image below.
Once you’re done, open the chest and follow the strange star again.
Head back into the pool.
Find the destination of the mirage maze
In this wide area, follow the star first.
You will eventually see that the star rises to the sky.
As you walk you will see that the star follows the maze. Coordinate with the star above to exit the maze.
The exit is at the top of the maze.
You will eventually reach some transparent steps. Keep going until you see the door to exit the mirage.
Look for the shard
Once you’re back on the island, head to the marked area.
You will see a Hilichurl digging something again. Defeat it and investigate the spot nearby.
You will get the shard.
Astral puzzle 3 guide
For the third astral puzzle, look for the door as shown in the image below. Place the shards accordingly.
Enter the door and you’ll see another puzzle. At the side of the room, you will see a barrier. Look inside and you’ll see the arrangement required.
You can follow the arrangement shown below to solve astral puzzle 3.
Open the chest and follow the star.
Astral puzzle 4 guide
Instead of going into the pool, this time, you have to open door number 4.
The pattern is shown below.
In the room, you will see a console. You can switch the patterns. There are 3 of them. I chose the first one (image below).
You can follow the pattern shown in the image below to solve puzzle 4.
There’s also a fifth puzzle upstairs if you wish to do it but it’s optional apparently.
Follow the star when you’re done.
The two stars will enter the pool and the pool will descend.
Enter the underwater space.
Touch the strange ornament
You will find yourself in Mona’s house.
Touch the ornament to leave the area.
Follow the star
You will then have to follow the star but you might not see any star yet.
Just keep walking and the walls will open.
Go all the way until you meet the star again.
Follow the star all the way. At one part, you will see a huge gap to the next area. Just walk on the invisible floor.
How to seize destiny
The last objective is to seize destiny.
You will find yourself in a wide space filled with stars.
To seize destiny, look for the star with a trail. There’s a single star with a trail behind it when it flies around.
Go after it and press capture when you’re near it.
