Sons of the Forest is finally out after a few years of development but it remains early access.
Like its predecessor, some of the features and mechanics have been retained.
Here’s how you can save the game in Sons of the Forest.
You will need to build a tent
Before you can save the game in Sons of the Forest, you need to learn how to build a tent first.
At the beginning of the game, you’re given a tarp. You can see it in your inventory.
Equip the tarp. Then, lay it out on the ground. You should see that the dotted lines are white instead of red. This requires the ground to be flat enough.
After setting down the tarp, you need two sticks. If you look at the sides of the tarp, you will see a white arrow indicator. Left click to place the stick.
Do the same for the other side.
Save the game
You can now save the game or you can choose to fast forward time by sleeping.
