In the story, Kelvin seems to have been injured in his ears and can’t speak. Fortunately, he can follow your orders.
Here’s how you can order your companion Kelvin to do stuff or gather materials in Sons of the Forest.
How to order Kelvin to do things
If you hold E near him, you’ll see a notebook.
You can scroll up or down using W or S.
You can order him to clear the area up to 20 meters, meaning he’ll remove the grass and plants around for you to build a base.
He can also help to gather materials like sticks or even fish. At the moment, there may be bugs where he disappears or drowns while doing so.
You can also ask him to build a fire if you’re lazy. Just look at the list of items in the notebook and you can order him to do stuff especially when playing alone.
