Cuckoo Clock is Chapter 4 of It Takes Two and it’s much shorter than its previous chapter.
The goal now is to collect all four pieces of the torn off paper and Chapter 4 only covers one of the four pieces.

Gates of Time
The first section is the Gates of Time. Just reverse time to allow the dolls to go through.
Next, May has to plant a clone near the gate.
Open the gate together with Cody by pulling the levers. Then, teleport quickly to the other side before the gate closes. Click on the bird’s beak to open the gate for good.
Ground pound the yellow button to cause a crash at the left-side of the room.
You will then see a bird statue. Cody can move time to let the bird fall. May has to place a clone on the fallen bird.
Cody has to reverse the time again and May can now teleport above the bird.
May can now reach the next button and ground pound it.
In the next part, Cody has to reverse time to bring the owl back. May then has to stand on the black platform.
Let go of time and May will be pushed to a silver structure / elevator.
May has to go up the elevator first. Cody then moves time to allow May to go higher up. May has to leave a clone here first.
Come down and let Cody change time again. Now, you can teleport back to the elevator and you’ll be higher than before. Cody can move time again to bring May higher.
May will now be able to go to the platform on the right.
At the next part, May has to use the bird statue to open the door to go through.
You will now see an area with three bird buttons.
You have to stand on all three to open the door. May has to place a clone on one of the buttons. May and Cody has to step on two buttons first, and then May has to immediately teleport to the next button.
Minigame: Horse Derby
In the next area, you’ll find two minigames. One is the horse derby, which is basically just jumping above or dodging below obstacles.
Minigame: Bomb Run
The next minigame is Bomb Run. It’s a time-based challenge.
You have to follow the checkpoints before the bomb explodes and each checkpoint increases your time.
After going one round through town, you’ll come back to where you started.
Continue to the next area
To open the gate at the next part, you need to press both buttons.
Cody has to reverse time to bring the bell up.
May has to place a clone on one button. May has to press a button first and then teleport to press another.
At the next obstacle, one player has to control the cloud movement while the other control the raindrops. Extinguish all the flames.
For the bridge section, you need to ground pound both buttons to let the bridge connect. However, the bridge won’t last.
May has to place a clone on one button. Ground pound a button and then teleport to the other button to ground pound.
After the bridge is lowered, Cody has to reverse time to get the bridge stuck.
At the big gate, you just need to spin the clock hands according to the big clock tower which is around 12:10.
You will now unlock a flying bird machine. You can use it to get to one of the two towers.
We chose the tower on the left first.
At the left-side tower, use the elevator to descend.
In this next part, you have to jump onto the platforms according to the clock. If the clock hand points on green, the green platform can be used.
Just follow the clock.
For the second area, you will need May to go to the left side. Cody has to reverse time to bring back a bridge at the left-side.
As there are two reds, May has to stand on the green button. Cody has to jump towards the end. The last platform is also a different color and you have to stand on the correct button.
Once Cody has passed reached the end, May has to swing back using the rope.
Now, it’s May’s turn to go to the end. Cody has to manipulate time to allow May to go through.
Destroy the tower
After you’re done with the left-side tower, some fireflies will spawn.
Fly using the bird and use the firefly as a bomb. Destroy the left-side tower first by throwing the firefly towards it.
Now, head to the right-side tower and use the elevator down.
Cody has to reverse time to form a bridge for May to cross.
May has to place a clone near the gate and go back to Cody.
Cody has to let go of time and the gate will be open without the bridge. May can now teleport over.
In the next part, you will see clocks below animal symbols.
Cody has to ground pound the animal buttons according to the correct order.
The correct order follows the time in ascending order. For e.g. 1 pm / 1 am on the clock is the first animal, followed by 2, 4, 5, 7 and 9.
After you’re done with the puzzle, destroy the right-side tower using the bombs again.
We now reach the clock tower part. Cody has to reverse time to allow the dolls to move up.
Up here, Cody and May has to open the gate.
There are walls you can bounce on at each side of the gate. Each player has to take on one side.
Keep jumping on the walls to move the locks on the gate.
You will now reach a room with a wall coming to crush you. May has to immediately place a clone at the wall and later teleport behind the wall.
Interact with the bird to stop the wall from moving.
Now, you have to turn the screw together to unlock the next area.
Continue going through a rather scenic area and do the same by turning the screw.
At the next part, Cody has to reverse time to form a gap. May has to use the wall gap to jump to the upper platform.
You should see the gatekeeper Heimdall. You need two keys from two areas. We chose the side with the two long rails first.
May has to stand on the platform first. Cody has to reverse time to allow the other platform to pop up, while May jumps to the other side in proper timing.
May now has to stand on the triangular structure. Cody has to move time and it will push May to the other side.
May now has to use the cogs to get the bird cage down.
Cody has to reverse time a little to allow May to put a clone below the cage. Let time go and May can teleport into the cage and get the key.
Now, May has to place another clone inside the cage. Cody reverses time to pull up the cage while May teleports to her clone below.
Go back to Heimdall and insert the key into the hole.
We now go to the second key. Keep jumping on the moving platforms to reach the other side.
You will reach an area where Cody can use his time moving ability. May has to jump onto the platform first and let Cody move time.
May should now place a clone and go back to Cody. Reverse time again and May has to teleport to her clone. She’ll now be standing on a further platform.
Repeat the same strategy as above for the other platform.
Now, May has to jump and place a clone on the platform while looks like a screw.
Go back down and let Cody move time for the screw to go up. May then has to teleport to her clone.
Continue to jump onto the platforms until May is able to jump on the spiral platform.
Here, Cody simply needs to move time in a way that allows May to reach the key. May has to keep running against the spiral movement until she reaches the key.
After taking the key, go back to Heimdall.
Insert the second key and you’re done here.
You will now reach a boss fight area with a mechanical bull. This one requires May’s ability. May has to place a clone somewhere in the arena.
Then, May has to stand on the button below the statue. This will result in the bull targeting May.
Before it hits May, you need to teleport to the clone placed elsewhere on the arena. Repeat the process and the bull will keep hitting the statue.
For the last part, the statue will fall on the button and Cody has to reverse time to allow May to step on the button again.
After the final hit, the statue collapses on the bull.
Clock tower continued
To leave the area, May has to stand on one of the flower-like platforms that fell from the ceiling.
Cody then reverses time to allow May to jump up.
Keep swinging from one platform to the other until you can go through the gap above the statue.
May then has to click on the statue to allow Cody to come here.
At the next part, just walk on the rails until you reach the end of the room.
At the end, Cody will be able to see walls that can be manipulated with time.
Here, May has to do the jumping all the way up, and it has to be timed with Cody’s time manipulation.
Time it in a way that allows May to bounce off the walls easily.
At the top, May has to push down the glass lamp. Cody now can stand on the lamp and reverse time for him to go up as well.
At the stairs, Cody has to stand on the button first.
Let May cross over and place a clone.
May comes back to stand on the button as Cody crosses over. May then teleports to the other side.
You will now reach a part where you have to dodge all the way up the elevator.
The clock hands will move in varying speeds and directions.
At least one player has to be alive at all times.
At the next part, just jump on the buttons to the next area.
There’ll now be a cutscene where a giant bird comes to attack Cody and May.
Here, you have to keep dodging the shadows as the bird will attack at the spot.
After the bird area, continue heading towards the clock.
Clock tower boss
Here, you need to dodge the swinging pillars.
After the platform is destroyed, you will be free-falling. Avoid the obstacles while falling and time will eventually be reversed.
At this next part, you have to stand on the surrounding clocks and let the bombs destroy the clocks.
You’ll basically be dragging the white circles and the white circles will turn to orange before the bombs drop.
At the next part, Cody will be controlling time. May has to jump onto the platforms and head towards Cody.
May has to get onto the correct platforms that are heading towards Cody’s direction. Cody can keep moving time to change the platforms’ locations.
Once you’re on the right platform, you can just follow the path until this chapter ends.
