The Snow Globe is the fifth chapter in It Takes Two and the aim is to collect the second torn piece of paper.
You’ll be playing with magnetic powers this time around.
Here’s a walkthrough and guide of The Snow Globe (chapter 5) in It Takes Two.
Warming Up
The first section of the map is called Warming Up. Here, May has to pull the door with her magnet for Cody to go through.
Cody then pushes the door with his magnet. Same color = repel.
In the next part, Cody has to stand on the pile of wood while May pushes him up. Cody can then pull the wood to him once May is on top of the wood.
For the next part, May can control the wood beam so that Cody can grapple onto it. On the other side, Cody has to push the wood over to him after May is grappled onto it.
Cody then needs to use his magnet to get the bridge down for May to cross over. Once May has crossed over, she can push the bridge down for Cody.
In the next area, you have to take turns to push and pull the saw to cut down the tree, and it forms a bridge.
Next, each player can cross the bridge by using the magnetic button.
Follow the route until you see a railway. May has to pull the object out of the tunnel.
Then, May stands on the slingshot as Cody pulls back the sling. This will propel May to the other side.
Cody then uses the red button to go up the platform. May then has to push the pile of wood towards Cody and Cody has to drag the wood towards him.
Cody then has to get on the wood to May’s side.
In the next part, you have to stick to the magnetic button on the cog to enter the building.
Inside the building, you have to use the same colored button to jump up to the platform.
Cody can then use the blue magnetic button to cross over. He now needs to turn the object so that the red button is now facing May.
This will allow her to use the red magnet to cross over.
Each player now has to use the same colored button to go up the building.
You will now be outdoors again and just have to follow the path.
Cody has to get on the bridge first while May pulls the bridge. Cody now has to pull the other side of the bridge towards him.
You will now be introduced to skates, which is much faster on ice.
Winter Village
We now reach the next section which is the Winter Village.
Cody has to pull the blue handle to raise the big rock. You will then see a blue magnet under the rock.
May has to use the blue magnet to jump to the ledge of the tower.
Cody then needs to pull the rock up to May’s level and it will act as a wall. Here, May has to use the two walls to jump up the tower.
At the top of the tower, pull the red handle and release it to ring the bell. The ice around this area will be melted. The door will be opened to the big part of the village.
First bell
The goal here is to ring three different bells to melt the ice in the village.
The first bell we went to was the one near the icicle throwing station.
Here, May can control the direction of the moving platform. Turn the platform towards the lowest wall on the right-side. Cody now has to use that wall and climb onto the moving platform’s wall.
May now turns the platform to the left-side wall which is higher. Cody has to wall-jump until he reaches the top of the moving platform.
Now, point the moving platform towards the bell tower. Cody can use the button to jump onto the bell tower.
Ring the bell and you’re done here.
Minigame: Icicle throwing
The minigame nearby will be unlocked. It is icicle throwing and the one with the most points win.
Second bell
For the second bell, you should see a big wheel and a small wheel.
Cody can turn the small wheel to control the big wheel. May has to stick herself onto the red button on the big wheel.
Cody now needs to turn the wheel so that May is right on top of the wheel. May now has to stay on top of the wheel while Cody turns so that the blue button faces her. You can either cling onto the wall in front, or try to run against the direction.
Once the blue button is under May, use it to jump to the top.
May will then see a small wheel at the top and has to do the same steps for Cody to go up.
At the next area, Cody has to enter the elevator while May pulls the lever down.
Cody has to get to the top to ring the bell.
Minigame: Shuffle Board
A new minigame will be unlocked. Shuffle Board is hidden inside an ice cave, and it’s similar to a curling game.
The one with the most points win.
Rescue the turtles (optional)
In the same area, you should see a big turtle looking for her children.
If you go around the same area, you should be able to find four baby turtles. They’re all on the ice.
The best way to drag them to the mother is by using the opposite magnetic colors.
Third bell
For the third bell, both players have to get to the other side using the opposite magnets.
May has to do the climbing while Cody does the shooting. Cody will be able to use the machine to shoot magnetic buttons.
May has to slowly get to the next platform using buttons shot by Cody.
This means Cody needs to aim the magnets properly in a way that allows May to go from one magnet to the other.
Repeat the same strategy until May reaches the bell tower. Ring the bell and you’re done.
Sit the cable car
Now that all three bells have been rung, the cable car platform in the middle is open. Spin the object and the cable car starts.
Race all the way down
You will reach a clubbing area. Continue moving past the crowd until you see the “Speed” area.
Here, you just need to slide down the ice all the way.
You will eventually stop at a big pool of water. Jump inside the water.
Follow the path in the water until you reach the big machinery.
Open the door by pulling the handles. Each player has to pull the opposite color handles.
Fix the white (or blueish) pipe
You will then be asked to restore the candy production. There are three pipes of different colors – red, white and green. The white looks blueish.
We followed the white pipe first. You will then find a big spanner. Each player carries the spanner from the opposite sides. You also have to watch out for the big fish in the area.
What you need to do is to repair three leaking parts of the pipe.
Place the spanner on the nut and turn it clockwise. After each time you repair a leak, the fish will come to eat you.
Just hide below the nut and you’ll be fine.
Continue the steps for the other two leaks and this part is done.
Repair the red pipes
Next, follow the pipe with red lights and you’ll be led outside the water.
Continue following the path and dive into another section of the water.
Here, May has to pull up the door so that Cody can enter the globe.
May now needs to move the platform so that Cody can use it. The platform has magnets on both sides.
Once Cody is on the platform, May has to move it in a way where Cody can enter the biggest hole. He just has to push the button inside and it’s done.
Fix the green pipes
Now, follow the pipe with green lights.
You will reach a door. Open it using opposite magnets.
Continue to follow the path and avoid getting killed by the fan blades.
You will now be out of the water. May has to use the right-side path while Cody uses the left.
At this next part, you need to use the water pillars to cross over. While inside the water, dash to head towards the next water pillar.
Eventually, you’ll reach the candy production area. Take turns to push the magnets to turn the device on.
After all three pipes have been fixed, the machine works again. Go back to the machinery and spin the device.
You will then reach the lighthouse. Continue following the path.
Slippery Slopes
You will now reach the Slippery Slopes section of the map.
Here, just skate all the way following the paths laid out.
You will reach another puzzle area. Ground pound the ice where the red button is.
Next, May has to drag the frozen troll all the way to the red button.
Cody has to use the red button to jump onto the troll.
May has to drag the troll (with Cody on it) towards the hook. Cody then uses the hook to go up.
When Cody is up on the platform, he has to break the ice to allow May to go up as well.
At the next part, Cody has to grapple onto the hook while May pulls the entire hook with her.
Here, May has to put the hooks near each other to allow Cody to jump over.
Continue with the skating in this area.
You will eventually reach a building. However, Dr. Hakim will cause an avalanche and you’ll need to run.
Continue with the ice skating and avoid the obstacles.
You will eventually enter another ice cave.
Here, May has to use the button to jump to the other side. Cody then has to use May as a magnet to cross over.
At the cave exit, Cody and May has to stand at opposite sides and use the magnet on each other. You’ll land in the middle platform.
You will then reach the top of the mountain but there’s a snowstorm. At first, the snowstorm comes every few seconds. One player has to use the magnetic pole to hang on, while the other player hangs onto you. Once the storm is over, rush towards the next magnetic pole.
Continue the strategy until you get sheltered from it.
You will then reach a red button. Cody has to use it to go up, and later reach the other side.
Now, May and Cody should both be standing at opposite ends (the one with the circular arch).
Use the magnet towards each other to land in the middle.
