Mondstadt Gastronomy Trip is a series of quests relating to Xiangling in Genshin Impact.
Your task is to help Xiangling win a cooking competition against a Springvale lady.
Here’s a walkthrough of all quests under Mondstadt Gastronomy Trip in Genshin Impact.
Little Chef on a Hunt
The first sub-quest is Little Chef on a Hunt.
Go to the marked area on the map, which is in the middle of Springvale. It’s south of Mondstadt.
There, you will meet a girl named Xiangling.
You have to help her collect three raw meat.
Just kill the boars nearby. Each boar will give two raw meat.
Cooking Appointment
Next, follow Xiangling to Springvale town.
Talk to Draff, the head of the village.
After the conversation, follow Xiangling and she’ll lead you to the chef.
Xiangling will challenge the chef to a cooking contest.
Secret Ingredients
Next, find Xiangling who is on her way to Liyue.
Her location is shown in the map. It’s the southern part of Windwail Highland.
You will see her waiting across the river. Talk to her to proceed.
Next, help her to collect three Lotus Heads. The Lotus Heads are just nearby in the river.
Continue to follow her up the cliff. She’ll ask you to pick three Jueyun Chilies.
Lucky Find
The next sub-quest is Lucky Find where you have to look for even more ingredients.
Go to the marked area on the map, which is in Bishui Plain (Liyue).
As you get to the marked area, you will see a hunter instead.
Talk to the hunter named Olaf and he’ll tell you he’s freezing. He has been frozen for 300 years.
Make a soup for him. If you already have soup in your inventory, just pass it to him.
Otherwise, you need to find a cooking station nearby, where the hilichurl camp is.
Present from the Past
Xiangling becomes interested in a Cryo Regisvine as she wants to use the monster as an ingredient. Follow her to the ruins.
The ruins is located near the hunter Olaf. There are also two cryo slimes outside the ruins.
Enter the ruins and you get to play as Xiangling. She is pyro based. You can also use Amber for this map.
Take out the hilichurls first. Then, use a pyro attack on the pyro monument to open the gate.
The gate will close quickly. Stand near the gate and use pyro on the monument, and then rush in.
In the next area, more enemies await. Clear them out. They are mostly cryo slimes.
Proceed ahead by climbing on the wall.
In the next area, you need to use pyro attacks on the pyro monument surrounded by the spikes to open the gate.
Enter the area and deal with more cryo slimes.
After dealing with the slimes, you will reach another area where icicles fall from the sky.
In this area, you can just run past the slimes and avoid the icicles.
Towards the end of the area, you need to kill the slimes magically blocking the gate. You don’t have to kill every slime in the place, just the few near the gate.
In the next part, there will be four pyro monuments.
You can use Xiangling’s pyro skill to light all four up in flames. Amber’s fire attack might be too slow for this.
Xiangling has an ultimate attack that spins her weapon around in flames.
Finally, you’ll reach the gigantic Cryo Regisvine.
To defeat the boss, aim at the core located on the bottom. Destroy the core and the shield will be gone.
You can now get rid of its HP.
After killing the Cryo Regisvine, you will discover a boar that has been frozen for 300 years.
Xiangling will use it for the competition.
Cooking Showdown
The next sub-quest is the Cooking Showdown. Get back to Springvale.
Meet Draff and the others back in Springvale.
After talking to Draff, go to the Showdown area. Talk to them to begin.
Here, you need to help Xiangling in her cooking. Talk to her to get instructions.
First of all, she’ll ask for your help to clean radish. Go to the lake nearby to clean them.
After taking the radish, some mobs will appear. Apparently you don’t need to kill them but we did.
Later, her pot will catch fire. Just go to the pot and click the extinguish button. You can also use Kaeya to cryo it.
Next, you have to cook a chicken-mushroom skewer. Use the cooking pot and make one.
Pass the skewer to Xiangling.
She will then ask you to gather an exotic material found in Springvale. You can give her a frog or even a butterfly.
Later, she’ll give you the recipe to Jade Parcels. Cook at least one Jade Parcel and pass it to her.
After the competition, talk to Draff for the results.
He will announce that Xiangling is the winner, especially since she used a 300-year-old boar found at the Regisvine earlier.
Finally, accept Xiangling’s thanks. The series of quests ends here.
