Master’s Day Off (Leo Minor Chapter) is part 1 of Jean’s Story Quest in Genshin Impact.
Your task is to help Jean solve various tasks as she rests from being overworked.
Here’s a walkthrough of Master’s Day Off in Genshin Impact.
This walkthrough is divided into a few sub-quests.
How to unlock the quest
To unlock the quest, you need to reach Adventure Rank 34 first.
Then, go to your Story Quests and use a Story Key to unlock the quest. You can earn 1 Story Key from eight daily commissions.
When the West Wind Arises
The first sub-quest is When the West Wind Arises.
To begin, meet Sara at the Good Hunter restaurant in Mondstadt. She’ll ask you to tell Jean something.
Next, meet Charles who is standing in front of the tavern at Mondstadt.
Go to the Knights of Favonius’ headquarter and a cutscene will appear. Margaret will also need Jean’s help in finding her cat.
Meet Jean inside her office and a cutscene will trigger, with her fainting from exhaustion. She will be taken to the Cathedral.
After the cutscene, leave the Cathedral and head back to the Knights of Favonius headquarters.
There, you’ll meet Kaeya at the front door.
You will then be given three sub-quests to do, i.e. to help Jean with her work.
Margaret’s Longing
Your task for this quest is to find Margaret’s pet called Prince.
Talk to Margaret near the fountain in the middle. You will see Venti there.
Use your elemental sight to see the footsteps of the cat.
Follow the footsteps until you see Prince, who is a black cat.
Just walk slowly behind the cat to catch it. If it runs away, you’ll need to use elemental sight to find it again.
One easy way to catch it is to climb up the building and fall slowly. Catch Prince immediately when you land.
Return to Margaret to complete the quest.
Charles’ Troubles
Next, you have to help Charles who is at the tavern.
You will see Lisa with Charles.
After the cutscene, go to the area marked on the map, just north of Dawn Winery.
You will see Ernest there. Help him with the Transport Balloon.
You will need to escort the balloon and ensure it doesn’t get destroyed. Get rid of the hilichurls along the way.
There will also be barriers you need to destroy for the balloon to go through.
Keep going until you reach the end of the hilichurl ambush. Talk to Ernest again to complete the quest.
Sara’s Worries
Go to Sara at Good Hunter.
She’ll ask you to collect 3 Sweet Flowers and 3 Fowl.
Sweet Flowers are available all around Teyvat, even outside Mondstadt.
To get Fowl, you just have to hunt birds or other avian creatures.
You can find birds just outside Mondstadt’s front gate. Kill it before it flies away.
Another way is to kill the ducks in the lake surrounding Mondstadt.
Return to Sara and give her the ingredients.
Next, use the pot to cook a Sweet Madame with the Fowl and Sweet Flower you found earlier.
Submit the dish to her.
Next, she’ll give you the recipe to Sticky Honey Roast. Learn it and then cook it.
Submit at least one dish to her as well.
The quest completes here.
Master’s Day Off
Next, meet Barbara at the Cathedral to ask about Jean.
Find Jean at Windrise. She’ll be under the huge tree.
An Abyss Mage will appear. Follow it to a cave.
Enter the domain to hunt for the Abyss Mage. The recommended level is low.
Inside, you’ll get to use Jean. Her wind ability is able to push enemies down the platform.
You’ll even get a challenge to hit the monsters into the water, but it doesn’t matter if you can’t.
Continue going through the room with flames. Head to the big door.
You’ll then reach the final room with the Precious Chest. Eliminate all of the hilichurls here.
Abyss Mage Eggert will spawn. Get rid of him.
Once you’re done, leave the domain. Meet Jean at the front gate of Mondstadt.
Next, enter the tavern.
It’s a surprise party for Jean organized by the Knights.
Jean will be at the second-floor terrace. Just head upstairs and exit the tavern through the upper floor door.
The quest ends after the cutscene.
