A New Beginning is a main quest in Assassin’s Creed Mirage.
Your objective is to undergo training as Basim before he becomes a Hidden One.
Here’s a walkthrough and guide of A New Beginning in AC Mirage.
As the quest begins, return to training.
Practice the Leap of Faith
You’ll meet Roshan again from before and she’s the one training Basim.
Climb to the top.
From the top, do the leap of faith by jumping.
Follow Roshan
Next, follow Roshan as you explore the camp site.
Speak with Fuladh
You’ll then need to find Fuladh who is at his office. Go upstairs and you’ll see him. Speak with him.
Get leather strips
Head to the tent to look for leather strips. You’ll see it clearly using eagle vision.
Bring the strips to Rebekah.
Go to the training ground
Rebekah will give you a new sword. You’ll also be taught how to equip your tools and you’ll have throwing knives at your disposal.
Now, head to the training ground which is above you. Climb up and follow the path.
Train with Roshan
You’ll now be taught basic combat. First of all, lock onto your opponent (R3 on the PS5).
You’ll then need to use light attacks a couple of times. Then, use heavy attacks.
After attacking, you’ll learn how to parry. Click the parry button whenever Roshan glows in white to time the parry.
After parrying is done, you’ll learn how to dodge attacks that can’t be parried.
In the end, you’ll have to spar with Roshan using what you’ve learnt.
Follow Nur
After training, you’ll meet Nur in a cutscene and Basim volunteers to patrol with him. Follow Nur.
Head to the watch point above.
Investigate with Nur
Use the zipline all the way down to investigate.
You’ll then see some mercenaries. Knock out the one on your left and Nur will do the right side.
Do the same with the next set of mercenaries.
In the end, you’ll need to defeat three remaining mercenaries.
After the investigation, Nur will head to Baghdad to investigate who sent the mercenaries.
In the meanwhile, Basim will continue to train and will receive Enkidu as his eagle. The quest ends here.
