The Master Thief Of Anbar is the first main quest in Assassin’s Creed Mirage.
You will play as young Basim and live his story until he starts to train for the Hidden One.
Here’s a walkthrough and guide of The Master Thief Of Anbar in AC Mirage.
When the quest begins, leave the hideout.
Follow Nehal
You’ll be introduced to Nehal who is Basim’s friend. Follow her all the way.
At one point, she’ll travel across rooftops. Follow her and learn the basic movements in the game.
Steal the pouch
Once you’ve reached the market, you’ll have to steal the pouch from the vendor.
Pickpocket merchants
Then, you’ll be taught how to pickpocket merchants. Basically go behind the merchant and click on pickpocket. Press the pickpocket button again when it’s in the big triangle to successfully pickpocket.
You’ll have to pickpocket another merchant after.
Meet with Dervis
Next, head to Dervis as marked at the top of your screen.
You’ll then be introduced to Dervis, someone who gives out thievery work to Basim.
Steal the ledger
The first mission is to steal a ledger nearby.
The game will teach you how to crouch in tall grass to hide and knock out the guard.
When you’re ready, head to the building to find the ledger.
You’ll notice that the door is locked and you need to find a key. The key is held by one of the guards.
Use eagle vision to see which guard has the key icon on him.
In the meantime, you can knock out all of the guards first.
The guard with the key will walk into another building. From the top, knock out the guard at the entrance.
Enter the building and climb upstairs to knock out the guard. Take the key from him.
Then, head back to the locked door and you’ll find the ledger inside.
Return to Dervis
Go back to Dervis after stealing the ledger.
You’ll be introduced to Roshan who gave the mission to Dervis in the first place. She’s one of the Hidden One members.
Speak with Nehal
After hearing about a chest, Basim intends to steal it. Speak with Nehal to carry out the mission.
Follow Nehal to the Winter Palace.
Infiltrate the palace
When it’s nightfall, infiltrate the palace. You just need to follow Nehal to the entrance as she knows the way.
Towards the end, the door is locked.
You’ll need to find the palace guard with the key. Use eagle vision and you’ll see him immediately in the center area.
Crouch and follow behind him and avoid the guards that are coming using the tall grass. Knock out the guard and get his key.
Return to the door while avoiding the guards.
Unlock the door and you’ll then see the Caliphate talking to members of the Order of the Ancients.
Steal the chest’s contents
Continue ahead to steal whatever is inside the chest.
During the cutscene, Nehal ends up killing the Caliphate as he almost kills Basim.
Escape the palace
After the cutscene, run out of the palace and you’ll need to break the line of sight from enemies.
You can use the rooftops and later hide to break the line of sight.
Return to the hideout.
During the cutscene, Roshan appears at the hideout to give Basim a chance to escape this place.
Warn Dervis and the others
Head to Dervis’ location and avoid the guards that are patrolling on the ground. Use the rooftops to avoid detection.
You’ll then see that the kids have all been killed.
Go to the docks
After the cutscene, run to the docks as marked on your navigation.
You have to avoid the guards again.
After reaching the docks, Basim gets caught but Roshan saves him.
The quest ends after you reach Alamut two months later.
