Ulterior Votive is a side quest in Assassin’s Creed Origins in Yamu.
Your task is to meet the merchants in Yamu market to find out why they’re selling fake goods.

Meet the merchants in the market
Your first objective is to get to the Yamu market. The location is shown in the map below.
There, you’ll need to speak to the merchants to investigate what’s going on.
You’ll hear the crowd talking about the fake religious icons. Get to that area and speak to the merchants.
The one you have to talk to is this guy in the image below.
He will tell you to meet at night at the farmlands.
Speak to the merchant outside Yamu at night
If you wish to make it night quickly, get the skill that allows you to meditate until night time.
Once it’s night time, get to the farmlands. The location is shown in the map below.
You will see the merchant waiting at the house. Talk to him.
Kill the bandits
He has set you up and there are a couple of bandits here to kill you.
Get rid of them.
After defeating the bandits, talk to the merchant again. He will tell you about the bandit camp that makes these idols.
Find the bandit camp
The location of the camp is shown in the map below. As you approach the area, use Senu to pinpoint the exact location.
Destroy the caches of false idols
You will now find a camp in the middle of the desert.
Get rid of the bandits first.
Once the area is clear, destroy the caches in the camp. They are light in color.
Speak to Menehet
After destroying the false idols, speak to Menehet at the Temple of Sekhmet.
The quest completes here and he will thank you for your help.
