The second map in the remake of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 is School II.
The aim of the Park is to complete Goals and Challenges, including finding the Secret Tape, collecting SKATE and so on.
Also, you need to know how to open the gym to get the Vicarious Visions (V) collectible and the stat point.
Here are some tips and guide on School 2 in THPS 1 + 2.
School 2 Park Goals
Below are the Goals for the map School II.
- High Score – 15,000
- Pro Score – 70,000
- Sick Score – 125,000
- High Combo – 10,000
- Collect S-K-A-T-E
- Collect 5 Hall Passes
- Grind 3 Roll Call Rails
- Kickflip TC’s Roof Gap
- Get the Secret Tape
- Wallride 5 Bells
- Find four stat points
Hall Passes’ Locations
The first Hall Pass is located near the spawn point towards your right.
Another Hall Pass is at the tables and you’ll see it as soon as you descend from the spawn point.
The third Hall Pass is near the building with closed shutters.
The fourth one is at the entrance of the gym.
Lastly, you’ll find a Hall Pass near the letter “E”. It’s near the TC’s Roof Gap.
How to find the letters SKATE
As usual, you need to find five letters. After spawning, look towards your right and you’ll see a pathway downwards. Grind on the railing and you’ll get “S”.
Next is the letter “K” which is around the school classes’ area. You’ll see it in the middle.
The letter A is on the railing near the library.
The letter “T” is near the building with closed shutters.
You will find “E” near “T”, above the half pipe.
How to find five Bells
Another goal is to Wallride five Bells.
The first one is at the spawn point, towards the right wall.
As you descend down the stairs, you will find another on the right side of the wall. It’s in between the gym and the library.
Next is a Bell above the garbage dump. This one is near the building with closed shutters (Shop Class).
You will also find another Bell just around the corner from the same building.
The last one is near the library.
How to get the Secret Tape
You should see the Secret Tape above the East Wing, near the library.
To get up there, you need to go to the compound where the classes are.
Edited: The easiest way is to use the plant-ramp to jump to the top of the Library (image below). To do so, you need to build up speed (get into Special Mode).
Also, use Boneless as you jump. This means tapping the UP button twice before you jump off the ramp.
From here, you can easily jump and get the Secret Tape. After getting the Secret Tape, you can proceed further inside to reach a hidden compound and get a stat point.
Grind on 3 Roll Call Rails
The three Roll Call Rails are shown below.
The nearest one is the stairs going downwards from your spawn point.
Another Roll Call Rail is the one from the library going downwards.
The last one is located near the garbage dump Bell, opposite the building with closed shutters.
Kickflip the TC’s Roof Gap
To complete this, use the ramp and reach the first container building.
From the first container, do a kickflip and land on the second container.
How to open the gym
Opening the gym requires precise timing.
The best way is to restart the level and start from scratch.
Immediately head towards your right as you descend into the classes’ compound. Head towards the library from there.
Here, you will pass by a Bell but don’t wait for it to ring. Just skate towards the Roll Call Rail.
You’ll need to grind the Roll Call Rail all the way down (while the Bell is ringing). It only works if you do it together with the Bell ringing. The Bell rings around 1:40.
If the combination worked, then the gym door will open. Otherwise, restart and try again.
How to get the Vicarious Visions (V) collectible
To get the V collectible, you need to open the gym first. Steps to open the gym are shown above.
Once the gym is open, you will immediately come across a basketball court. The V is above the hoop.
Use the half pipe to get the V.
How to get all stat points
There are four stat points in total for School 2.
The first one is near the spawn point, above the half pipe.
As for the second, head to the Shop Class building (the one with closed shutters).
The third one requires you to enter a hidden area.
This area can be accessed when you’re getting the Secret Tape. It’s above the East Wing building. You can refer to the Secret Tape guide above.
After retrieving the Secret Tape, head down to this compound and you’ll see the stat point here.
The last one requires you to unlock the gym (steps to open are shown above).
After entering the gym, you will reach a basketball court first.
