To fix the machine and connect the wiring, all you need to do is to bring two lumberjacks from around the area.
Lick and grab them to the wires. They’ll be electrocuted and conduct electricity for the machine to work.
The quest ends here. If you headbutt the button of the machine, it will generate a log that’s extremely long.
You can even use the log to go to the city.
