The Illusion’s Finishings is a world quest under A Brush of Seafoam and Crimson in Genshin Impact.
Your objective is to help Mamere gather some rare paint.
Here’s a walkthrough and guide of The Illusion’s Finishings in Genshin Impact.
To begin the quest, head to the quest marker shown in the map below.
You’ll see a Melusine surrounded by Eremites.
Chase away the Eremites
During the conversation, you can choose to battle them to solve it quickly.
Just defeat all three of them.
Ancient Colors: Act 1 begins.
Go to Merusea Village
Now, dive into the nearby water to head to Merusea Village.
Go all the way down.
You will then reach dry land. Continue to the marked area. There’s also a waypoint there.
Talk to Mamere
Talk to Mamere at the village.
Go to Mamere’s house
Follow the marker to Mamere’s house.
Walk around
After the cutscene, examine the stuff at the house.
Go to the place to collect the paint
From the house, proceed further to the place to collect the paint. There are enemies there.
Use the prisms to resonate with the ore
You will be introduced to new mechanisms. There are prisms and there are ores.
What you need to do is to hit the prism and it launches a wave of energy to the ore. The ore has to be destroyed.
Now, do the same thing for the next ore.
You will then see an inactive prism. To activate the inactive prism, use the active one and launch a wave towards the inactive one.
Once the prism is activated, destroy the final ore.
Find Mamere
Talk to Mamere again.
Head to the designated location
Enter the Place of Warmth via the portal.
Adjust the position of the prism to let it resonate with the ore
Like before, you have to hit the prism to launch a wave of energy towards the ore.
When you’re done with the first ore, move the prism and activate the inactive prism.
Continue to move the activated prism to the next location. The prism can only be moved within the red radius shown on the screen.
Place the prism at a suitable spot where it reaches the next one.
Hit the prism so that it activates the inactive prism ahead. Use the activated prism at the end to destroy the ore.
Talk to Mamere
After you’re finished, talk to Mamere.
Then, return to Mamere’s house.
You’ll see the Eremites again with their employer.
Defeat the Eremites
Once again, you have to defeat the Eremites.
The quest ends here.
