A Gifted Rose is a quest line you can find in the desert area of Sumeru.
Your objective is to help an old man (Affan) living north of Aaru Village.

The first sub-quest is A Gifted Rose: Prickly as Thorns.
A Gifted Rose: Prickly as Thorns
To begin the quest, visit the old man north of Aaru Village. The exact location is shown in the map below, marked by the quest symbol.
You will see a house with an old man in front of it. Talk to him to begin.
You will then need to help the old man Affan clear The Withering at his farm.
Head to his farm which is west of his location. The exact location is shown in the map below, marked by the quest symbol.
You can clear the nursery from The Withering the same way.
After you’re done, return to Affan.
To continue with the quest line, you have to wait a day. Fast forwarding time doesn’t seem to work.
A Gifted Rose: Long Day Ahead
The next sub-quest is A Gifted Rose: Long Day Ahead.
Come back after one day and you’ll see Affan ready to talk again.
He’ll ask for your help to water the flowers. Use a hydro character and a hydro attack to do so.
This sub-quest ends here. Wait another day for the next quest.
A Gifted Rose: Can Stones Bloom
After waiting a day in real life, talk to Affan again.
You’ll need to water the stone flowers again. Use a hydro attack to do so.
The quest ends as it fails to bloom.
