Depths of Despair is a side quest available in the town of Kyovashad in Diablo 4.
Your objective is to help Sister Octavia with another possession.
Here’s a walkthrough and guide of Depths of Despair in Diablo 4.
To begin the quest, you must have finished the quest Malady of the Soul. Her location is marked as the quest marker in the map below.
Talk to her to begin.
Enter the Ominous Cellar
Next, head into the Ominous Cellar.
Slay the Carvers
As soon as you’re in, you will see Carvers. Take them down.
Exit the cellar and check on Kvera who was attacked outside.
Enter the Kyovashad Sewers
You will now need to enter the Kyovashad Sewers.
Chase Vasek
In the sewers, you’ll basically need to go all the way up to find the possessed man Vasek. You can see the location in the map below.
When you arrive you’ll see him on the ground. Talk to Sister Octavia.
Place the holy chalice
Like before, you need to place the holy chalice near the possessed person.
Defeat Demotath
The demon finally emerges. You have to defeat Demotath who is an elite.
Speak with Sister Octavia outside
Leave the sewers and talk to Sister Octavia outside to complete the quest.
