Genshin Impact: Sands Of Solitude Quest Walkthrough

Sands of Solitude is Cyno’s story quest in the latest 3.1 update of Genshin Impact.

Your objective is to solve the suspicious smuggling case of Canned Knowledge.

Here’s a walkthrough and guide of Sands of Solitude in Genshin Impact.

This guide will be divided into a number of sub-quests.

Suspicious Smuggling Case

The first quest is Suspicious Smuggling Case.

To begin, head to the Akademiya. You’ll meet a guy named Nabil.

Now, head to the quest marker and look for clues outside the city. You’ll see Cyno there.

Get to the next marker and work with Cyno to arrest the suspects.

Head over to The Palace of Alcazarzaray to look for Dori.

Talk to Dori to get information on who is selling the Canned Knowledge.

Now, head over to Caravan Ribat to look for Cyno who is at the bulletin board.

You will then need to exit Caravan Ribat and head to the desert as marked on the map.

There will be a group of mercenaries waiting for you. Take them out. You can use Cyno as a trial character here.

Chain of Interests

The next sub-quest is Chain of Interests.

Now, head on over to the desert auction site.

When you arrive at the quest marker, defeat the scorpions.

Continue to make your way to the auction and watch out for more scorpions.

You’ll finally see the auction site.

Investigate the area by interacting with the four clues.

After finding out that the Traveler has been planted with a tracking device, leave the auction and head to the exit area of Aaru Village as marked on the map.

Then, return to Cyno at the auction site and you’ll discover that he caught someone.

Follow the guy to Aaru Village.

All Returns to Silence

The next sub-quest is All Returns to Silence.

Head to the Akademiya to pass Cyno’s introduction letter to Nabil.

With the letter, you’ll be able to access the restricted repository. Talk to the guy marked on the map.

Look for the document on the Court of Desolation at the left-side shelves.

Next, you have to leave the Akademiya and inquire some of the officers about recent shipments.

Then, head downstairs and ask the guard Payam on more information.

Head to Taj’s house which is marked on the map. Look for clues here.

You will then get the Court of Desolation’s location on an Ancient Map.

Go back to Aaru Village to meet up with Cyno.

Now, head to the Court of Desolation marked on the map. It’s west of Aaru Village.

You’ll see a huge cave entrance that leads to the Court of Desolation.

Enter the Court which is a dungeon where you have to pick characters.

Inside, you will be allowed to use Cyno as a trial character. Take out the monster first.

Continue ahead until you see a console. Start the console.

You will see a newly opened hole. Jump down to the lower level.

At the next area, press start on the button.

Make your way ahead until you reach another button. Rotate it first.

After rotating, you’ll notice a console. Start the console.

Then, head back to the button to rotate the room again.

Use the stairs to go to the next area. You’ll see Taj waiting inside.

You will then be required to defeat Taj Radkani. He can summon a few creatures during the fight but is otherwise easy to defeat.

You will then learn of Taj’s true intentions and that he will sacrifice himself to destroy the Court of Desolation to prevent others from falling victim to this place.

After exiting the Court of Desolation, you have to wait four days. You can just fast forward time to the max twice to reach four days.
