Starfield is a game filled with all sorts of items that are needed for different things.
In making outposts on planets, you’ll discover that you need all sorts of resources including Tau Grade Rheostat, Zero Wire, Austenitic Manifold and so on.

How to find Tau Grade Rheostat, Zero Wire and Austenitic Manifold
These are just a few of the resources you may need early on in the game when building outposts.
You’ll be able to find all of them being sold by certain vendors.
One of the easier places to find is Outland in New Atlantis, Jemison since you’ll be there as part of the main story.
Go inside the building and talk to the vendor. You’ll be able to get a Tau Grade Rheostat for 77 credits each.
Zero Wire only costs 49 credits each.
The price definitely goes down if you have the Commerce skill and it depends on the skill level you’re on.
As for the Austenitic Manifold, you’ll have to pay around 75 credits depending if you have the Commerce skill as well.
They have many other resources that you may be looking for like Positron Battery, Power Circuit, Semimetal Wafer, Solvent, Supercooled Magnet and so on.
Apart from buying those resources, you can sometimes loot them when doing missions or exploring the galaxy in general.
You can also craft some of these items using minerals by accessing an Industrial Workbench.
