The Crane Returns On The Wind is a new archon quest in Genshin Impact after update 2.4.
This quest is mainly on the reconstruction of the Jade Chamber, with characters Yun Jin and Shenhe making an introduction.
Here’s a walkthrough of The Crane Returns On The Wind Walkthrough in Genshin Impact.
To begin the quest, meet Ningguang at Yujing Terrace. A cutscene will load as you arrive.
Look for Shenhe
You will see Shenhe at Yujing Terrace. Look for her after she leaves the two disturbing men. You’ll find them below.
Head to the pharmacy
After meeting Shenhe, head to the pharmacy just upstairs. You’ll meet Baizhu there.
Look for Xingqiu
Next, go to Feiyun Commerce Guild to look for Xingqiu.
Search for the abode
After speaking with Xingqiu, go to the marked location around Lisha.
Shenhe will release the adepti spell and you’ll see a seelie. Follow the seelie down the waterfall.
You’ll then find the Sea Gazer’s Abode entrance.
Destroy the ancient array core
Once you’re inside the abode, you need to destroy the core in the middle.
Before you can do that, you have to activate the core. You will see three marked locations on the screen.
In each location, you need to destroy the glowing rock and lead the energy ball to the statue.
The third statue is at the top. Use the wind current to go up.
After all three statues are lit, the core will be activated.
Head to the core and destroy it. The core will summon monsters first.
After defeating them, continue damaging the core. If you fail to destroy within a certain time, more mobs will be spawned.
After the core is down, you’ll fall. Press the weapon button to land without damage.
Destroy another core.
After the second core is destroyed, you’ll fall into water.
Get to the last core
Once you’re underground, you will see walls with markings.
They can be interacted with. You simply need to push the walls until you find the path to the last core.
Defeat the monsters at the last core and destroy the core.
Then, follow the seelie.
You will reach the Sunset Vermillionite. Shenhe will carry the rock back.
Now, head to the Jade Chamber worksite to look for Shenhe.
Get to the makeshift hotel
Next, bring Shenhe to the makeshift hotel nearby.
Talk to Cloud Retainer
You will then notice Cloud Retainer at the top of the hill. Climb up and talk to the adeptus.
The next day, go to the worksite and ask around for news. You’ll meet Beidou there. Yun Jin will also make her first appearance and will join forces with the Traveler.
Talk to the blacksmith
Next, go back to Liyue Harbor’s blacksmith and talk to him (Master Zhang).
Find the Starsplinter Iron
To make the Wonder Core, you need Starsplinter Iron and Subrosium.
Head to the Starsplinter location first.
Use your vision to find the iron. The first one is at the top of the hill, surrounded by the shrubs.
The next one is just nearby at your eye level.
Look for Subrosium
Then, head to the village nearby and talk to the old man about Subrosium.
While Shenhe talks to him, you have to look for old records. There are three in total in the village and they’re relating to Shenhe’s past.
The last records will tell you about Subrosium.
Return to Shenhe.
Then, head to the middle of the lake nearby and change the time to 17:30.
Head towards the sun and you’ll see the Subrosium near the rocks.
Return to Zhang
Head back to the blacksmith to bring the materials and make the Wonder Core.
Shenhe will then make the Adepti Sigils.
Give the items to the secretary
Now, head back to the work site and give the items to the secretary to win the competition.
Defeat the Avenger of the Vortex
The Jade Chamber will then be constructed. You will then see a few cutscenes and you’ll eventually need to defeat the Avenger of the Vortex.
Here, you’ll be allowed to use Shenhe on trial.
The fight is simple. Just attack the dragon that is closest to your platform. Avoid the water attacks.
Take part in the victory feast
After the battle, meet them at the Jade Chamber. You’ll get to watch Yun Jin performing opera.
The quest ends here.
