The Great Symposium is a main quest in Assassin’s Creed Mirage.
Your objective is to find and assassinate Fazil the Great Scholar.

Attend the Symposium at the House of Wisdom
First off, head to the House of Wisdom as marked in the map below.
Attend the Symposium there by talking to the Kahraman first.
Eavesdrop on the nearby poetry fans
You will need to explore the area to find opportunities.
One of them is to eavesdrop on the poetry fans.
Talk to Nehal
You’ll also meet Nehal at the Symposium.
Follow her into Ahmad’s workshop. Use eagle vision to find all the diagrams and interact with them.
The last diagram is near the door beside Nehal.
Look for Arib
Next, look for the poet Arib at the eastern outer courtyard.
Mingle with the crowd
Go back to the ground floor of the Symposium to find more opportunities. Talk to the guy that is highlighted in orange when you use eagle vision.
Attend the lecture
You’ll then be told to attend the lecture. Talk to the guy to begin.
You’ll then see Fazil during the cutscene but he runs away after knowing that his men have been killed.
The goal now is to assassinate Fazil the Great Scholar.
Look for where Fazil went
You’ll then need to know where Fazil went. Eavesdrop on the guards first.
Then, there’s a guy who will tell you if you bribe him.
Walk further inside and you’ll see a guard. He needs a passphrase to let you in.
Eavesdrop on the distraught librarian
You can access the basement via the guard that needs the passphrase or you can get the key from the gardener.
I chose to do the passphrase method. First of all, eavesdrop on the librarian upstairs.
Look for Fazil’s books
Then, follow the librarian inside the room but there are guards all over. You can slowly assassinate them one by one.
Keep going inside. On the way there, you can use the booth with curtains to hide and kill some.
Continue ahead and you’ll reach a room with a few guards. Take them out.
Read the note by Shabir and you’ll learn that there’s a private reading balcony in the northwest.
Head towards the balcony. The location is shown in the map below.
You’ll find the book at the balcony.
Access the basement
Go back to the guard and use the passphrase.
The answer is “Are Those Who Shall Return”.
In the next area, you’ll see a movable shelf. Move it out and you can enter the basement.
Assassinate Fazil the Great Scholar
There’ll be more guards in the basement. Take them out.
Keep going until you see a note that says you can enter with the robe.
Enter the cell on your right and go under the gap. Use the patient’s robe.
With the robe equipped, continue ahead and speak to the guard.
Wait for your turn and you’ll need to participate in the ritual.
During the cutscene, assassinate Fazil. The quest ends here.
